Our Story

Built by people who
get it.

Sidekick was founded by two Bay Area women who saw the same problem from different angles and decided to solve it together.

Why We Built This

Your time is too valuable to spend on logistics.

We started Sidekick because we kept seeing the same thing: smart, capable, driven people losing hours every week to the endless tasks that pile up outside of work and family.

Not because they couldn't handle it. But because no one had built a solution that actually fit their lives. Not an app, not a gig worker, not a full-time hire. Just a trusted human who shows up, knows you, and gets it done.

That's what Sidekick is. And it's what we wish had existed sooner.

Jocelyn
CEO & Co-Founder
💼 10+ Years Executive Operations

Jocelyn has spent over a decade working alongside high-profile executives in the corporate world, and one pattern became impossible to ignore: the most capable, driven people were still losing hours — and sometimes entire weekends — to the endless tasks that pile up outside of work.

Time that should have gone to family, rest, and connection was quietly being consumed by logistics.

Sidekick was built to give that time back. Jocelyn believes we're living in an increasingly disconnected world, and that what's missing isn't another app — it's a human touch.

With a background spanning large-scale event production, operational strategy, and a deep instinct for anticipating people's needs before they have to ask, she's built Sidekick to be exactly that: the one reliable, human point of contact for everything life asks of you.

🏆 Community Hero Award, Santa Clara County

For Rachel, helping people isn't just what she does — it's who she is. As a mental health advocate with NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness), she regularly speaks with students and parents about the very real toll that stress and overwhelm can take on mental health.

She became passionate about finding ways to reduce that toll before it becomes a crisis.

That passion is what led her to Sidekick. Rachel believes that when people have reliable, trustworthy support for the logistics of daily life, they have more space — mentally and emotionally — to show up for what truly matters. It's prevention through presence.

She brings that same commitment to everything she does. As the owner of a five-star pet sitting business for over eight years, Rachel has built a reputation rooted in trust, care, and consistency.
